Our new upcoming game, Deep Fog Signals, receives the Gamecity Prototype Fund 2025 alongside 5 other exciting new projects!

Deep Fog Signals is a short sci-fi horror single-player investigation game in which your research expedition gets stranded at a remote outpost during a terrible toxic storm. Trapped in the comms room of your station, make do with scarce bandwidth, coordinate with increasingly erratic crewmates and decipher lossy transmissions to finish your research – or make it out alive.
DFS is a standalone in-universe precursor to Misgiven, centered around the fate of an expedition deep inside a vast crater holding a sea of toxic fog.
Β
You are the team’s Resonance Specialist, tasked with maintaining radio contact and researching the crater’s peculiar electromagnetic patterns. Over several in-game days, things go from bad to worse as a devastating storm cuts the outpost off entirely. Your four crewmates are scattered around the compound, and you must coordinate them from the confines of the station’s comms room and send them on retrieval missions – while sanity becomes more and more frayed.
Β
In this unforgiving environment, clarity is a time-limited resource: communications become slow and lossy in the relentless, pervasive fog storm – and your supplies are running out. Where to allocate the precious bandwidth you have ensures a constant re-evaluation of your priorities: what part of the mystery do you want to resolve, and what can you puzzle together from what you’ve already analyzed?
Β
Will you finish your research and discover the real reason you were sent here, or do you focus all of your resources on getting a final distress signal out?
